Objectives and activities
The Saudi Pediatric Association (SPA) aims to develop the scientific principles and practice in pediatric specialties. The SPA contributes to the development of professional and clinical skills of pediatricians and other health care professionals in pediatric specialties. The SPA organizes regular continuing medical pediatric educational activities (CME), in the form of pediatric conferences, symposia, workshops and health awareness days. The SPA encourages pediatric research and supports efforts directed to public health education and awareness.
Community services
The SPA participates in organizing health educational campaigns and awareness activities/days. These cover common disease phenomena and are associated with health educational publication of flyers/brochures.
Pediatric conferences and symposia
The SPA organizes pediatric conferences and symposia to discuss updated topics in Pediatrics, to raise the standard of scientific and professional practice for the association members, to develop and activate the scientific thinking in pediatrics.
The SPA holds health educational activities and through publications such as books, magazines, booklets and brochures.
The monthly scientific meeting for Pediatricians (Pediatric Club Meeting / Seminar)
The SPA holds the monthly scientific meeting for pediatricians (Pediatric club meeting) which forms a forum to help in supporting the scientific interaction and cooperation of pediatricians. In this forum, pediatricians meet and present educational medical cases, followed by discussion to enrich the scientific side, and this meeting is accredited with CME hours from the Saudi commission for health specialties, and this monthly club meeting is held in several cities in the Kingdom.
